Master Gardener Kris LaMar will talk about the challenges and joys of gardens in a small space.
Kris has been a Master Gardener and a Master Recycler for eight years. She is especially interested in soils, soil microbes, nutrients and composting--both areas in gardening and recycling. She took these two training programs after retiring and moving with her husband to an acre in Clackamas County, where plant stewardship was new to her. Before retiring from the Multnomah County Circuit Court bench in 2009, she lived in downtown Portland, with little opportunity to garden except in containers.
