Theme: Experiences of Aging

"Fear of dying is human. Fear of aging is cultural." –Ashton Applewhite

Icebreaker: What is one object in your home that is very old? Or what is one object in your home that is very new?

—When you were growing up, how was getting older treated or talked about? How do you notice or consider aging now?

—What have you learned or appreciated by interacting with people from different generations than yours? How did it come about?

—As our society ages, what are your hopes and concerns?

Co-hosted by:

Viva Village, Washington County Disability, Aging and Veterans Services (DAVS), Beaverton Committee on Aging (BCOA), and Beaverton City Library
